According to a source, the film's director, Sooraj Barjatya, who is also the writer of the film, conceived and developed the role, keeping Salman in mind. Salman plays the ideal king while Sonam Kapoor who is also cast in the film will be seen playing a princess.
The film is currently being shot in Karjat, at ND Studio, where an elaborate set has been constructed. It is believed the superstar had his own inputs for both the characters.
